88mm Flak 37 - Anti-Aircraft Gun | 1:35 Scale
The most feared gun of the entire war.
It started life pointing at the sky. The 8.8 cm Flak was designed in the 1930s as a high-altitude anti-aircraft gun — and at that job it was already excellent. Then came France, 1940. Rommel, pinned down by British Matildas his Panzer III rounds couldn't penetrate, ordered his 88s leveled and fired horizontally. The British tanks came apart.
The legend was born.
From that moment forward, the 88 was the gun every Allied tank crew dreaded. It killed Shermans at ranges where Shermans couldn't even see it. It killed T-34s. It killed Churchills. It killed bombers at 30,000 feet and tanks at 2,000 yards, often on the same day. The Tiger I and Tiger II were built around variants of it. By 1945, "an 88" was shorthand for "we're in serious trouble."
This is the gun that earned its reputation the hard way — on every front, against every enemy.
