Historical Note:

The Flakpanzer I entered service in 1940 as a stopgap measure to provide mechanized units with mobile air defense. While the Panzer I chassis was already obsolete as a battle tank, repurposing it for the FlaK role extended its service life. Approximately 24 were produced, serving primarily in France and the early Eastern Front campaigns before being withdrawn from frontline duty.
