"Barkmann's Panther" | Medium Tank | 1:25 Scale

One Panther. One road. One man who refused to move.

July 27, 1944. Near Le Lorey, Normandy.

The Americans were pushing hard after the breakout. An armored column was rolling south - Shermans, halftracks, trucks - the full weight of an advance that was supposed to be unstoppable. The hedgerow country was finally opening up, and the road ahead looked clear.

It wasn't.

SS-Oberscharführer Ernst Barkmann, commanding Panther 424 of the 2nd SS Panzer Division "Das Reich," had positioned his tank in the treeline along the road. Alone. No supporting armor. No infantry screen. Just one Panther, one crew, and a firing lane down a road full of targets.

What happened next became one of the most legendary single-tank engagements of the entire war.

Barkmann opened fire. Sherman after Sherman. Halftrack after halftrack. The American column ground to a halt - stopped cold by a single Panther they couldn't see, couldn't flank, and couldn't silence. By the time Barkmann pulled out, the road behind him was a graveyard of burning vehicles and the American advance had lost hours it couldn't afford.

The crossroads where it happened is still called "Barkmann Corner" today.

THIS IS A VALOR EDITION.

This is the first release in a new line from BrixKrieg - the Valor Edition. These aren't standard catalog kits. Valor Editions are built around one commander, one vehicle, one moment that defined a battle. Every detail - the markings, the camouflage, the configuration - is matched to that specific tank on that specific day.

This is where history meets the build. And it starts here, at Barkmann Corner.

What you're building:

  • 1,675 pieces in 1:25 scale - our largest Panther ever
  • Hinterhalt-Tarnung (ambush camouflage) scheme - the iconic late-war pattern of hard-edged dark green and dark yellow
  • FIRST IN BRIXKRIEG HISTORY: Zimmerit anti-magnetic mine coating molded directly onto the bricks - not printed, not stickered, molded. You'll feel it under your fingers. The texture is built into the pieces themselves.
  • Full interior detail - hull, turret basket, breech, driver's station
  • Working tracks
  • Opening hatches
  • Rotating turret
  • Pad-printed historically accurate markings - zero stickers
  • No crew figures included

Planned Ship Date: June 5th - the eve of the 82nd anniversary of D-Day. The Normandy connection isn't an accident.
