The Panther tank, officially Panzerkampfwagen V Panther (abbreviated Pz.Kpfw. V) is a German medium tank of World War II. It was used in most European theaters of World War II from mid-1943 to the end of the war in May 1945.  Combining sloped frontal armor, a long barreled tank killing gun, wider tracks, and excellent power to weight ratio, the Panther was arguably Germany's best tank of the war.
